Dr. Mandar Godge is a renowned scientist, entrepreneur, and sustainability strategist based in
Singapore, with over 20 years of expertise in sustainable agriculture and biofortification. His
career is marked by a deep commitment to enhancing smallholder farm productivity,
profitability, and environmental sustainability through the integration of culture and agritech
innovation.
Dr. Mandar has played a pivotal role in advancing light-specific regulatory signatures, metabolic
reprogramming, pest and disease management practices, and biomass and nutrition
enhancement for economically significant crops. His work has significantly impacted the field of
agricultural science, particularly in the areas of crop breeding and sustainability.
Prior to his role at The Future Food Foundry, Dr. Mandar was the Lead Scientist at Temasek
Polytechnic, where he led the development of the institution's Agritech R&D roadmap until
2023. During his tenure, he secured and completed over 10 million in research funding from
prestigious bodies such as the Ministry of Education, Singapore Millennium Foundation
(Temasek Innovates), Singapore Food Agency, and Temasek Polytechnic Translational Research
Funds. He also contributes to the technical committee of ISO standards on Data-Driven
Agrifood Systems.
At The Future Food Foundry, Dr. Mandar promotes human and environmental well-being
through advanced crop breeding practices, integrating Human One Health principles. His work
on non-GMO modulation of nutritional profiles in leafy and fruit vegetables has led to
